Sparkling Seduction

"Sparkling Seduction" is a strapless black gown with a furled hemline, glittering with applied pailettes. Worn with it is a full-length cape of claret velvet with sleeves of faux fur. An intricately beaded "amethyst" necklace, bracelet and earrings complete the ensemble. Circa 1948. Designed by Shelley Rinker, a winner of the 1996 Young Designers of America Student Competition.
