Embassy Luncheon

"Embassy Luncheon" is a compelling, sleek black sheath of wool crepe. Its dramatic appeal lies in the deceptively simple lines that hug every contour. The high standing collar is lavishly hand-embellished with black beads. The matching belt is removable. A back slit allows free movement. The entire dress is fully lined. Accessories include a plush silver fox "fur" stole lined in deep red, petal hat and gloves with black beadwork, drop earrings, nylons, "suede" slingback heels, and a beaded clutch purse with working snap. Circa 1951. Designed by Laura Meisner for the Gene Marshall Collection.
