Winter - At the beginning of December give each child a
large sheet of paper. (large enough so when they are all
done, they can be hung on the bulletin board as a background)
Pour silver watercolor paint (found at Discount School
Supply)
into paint cups and add silver or multicolored glitter. Let
the kids paint all over the whole sheet encouraging them to
cover it all. I call it a snowstorm! Let dry and hang on
the bulletin board when done. This becomes a nice glittery
background for December's Holiday theme, a winter background
in January and then in February add Valentine's projects to
the
background.
**A trick of mine - In November I use green construction
paper
as a background for my Thanksgiving/Sharing bulletin board.
Then when I'm ready to add these silver glittery sheets, I
place them over top of the green ones. Then when February
Valentine's is done, take the white ones off and the green
background is all ready for St. Patrick's Day. What a time
and paper saving idea!!!
Idea from Julie Oliver Wall paper with felt! It goes
onto a wall easy with heavy duty wall paper paste.
Stick Velcro to some thin wood shapes (we did flowers) *You
can purchase "peel and stick velcro squares." Use a variety
of
shapes and sizes for the kids to stick over and over again.
You now have a wooden wall puzzle of sorts.
