This next picture is that of a junction block. It is located behind the front grill, adjacent to the radiator. The reason for this picture is a multiple one. First of all, I mentioned earlier about the V-8 conversion requiring some rewiring of the engine compartment. As you will note, all of the wires are identified with a number and not a color as in modern cars (motorhomes). This is the way the Clark Cortez wiring was identified, with a number on both ends of every wire. Even though our coach has been COMPLETELY rewired, We have saved the original wiring numbering system. It became necessary to change some of the wiring numbers and add a few (we now have Chrysler's electronic ignition system, and many other added "options"). You will note in the picture that the wiring from the block travels in 2 directions. On the right side of the block, the wires travel through a grommet to the dash area. The left wires travel to the engine. This is an ideal spot to troubleshoot any problems with the wiring between dash and engine. Also, the added benefit of this block is the ability to disconnect most of the wiring to the cradle (engine) More on this new word "Cradle" at a later update to this tour. UPDATE: 11-98. See below.
