This is another tag worth noting. The ID tag. It is located in the driver's side footwell. It is pretty self explanatory. The only number I would like to point out, is the top one. The last 4 digits refer to the order in which the Clark Cortez came off the assembly line. Ours was the number 1010th produced. This numbering system was used from 1963 through 1967. After that, it was not as simple as reading the last digits in the serial number. A number legend was required to determine the order in which the later Cortezes were produced.
