Many people believe that you should wait until you are an adult before dedicating yourself to the path of Wicca. But, as long as your parents give you permission, there's no harm in reading and learning about Wicca and even practicing.
When people consider themselves hereditary Witches, they usually mean that they are from a long line of Witches that have passed down information through generations. If that didn't happen to you, don't worry. You don't have to be a Witch "by blood". A Witch by choice is just as good!
