Dear Nikki,
Keep reading those books and begin your practice with daily prayer. It's important that you start worshipping in ritual on each of the Sabbats and Esbats and I would suggest starting a sort of Magickal Diary called a "Book of Shadows". Practice Grounding meditations and visualizations and make sure you have these down pat as well as circle castting before you try any spellwork.
