Dear Delriece...
I am a new witch. I love our religion. Yesterday I
was cleaning a house and was making the bed of a teenage boy when I found
a book rather hidden in his bed. It was called something like
Witchcraft, spells, and something else I can't remember. I didn't open the
book, but this morning, I got up and it weighs heavily on my mind and feel
a responsibility to make sure that the young people of our community
get the right idea about our spiritual path. My witch soul told me
perhaps this young man was getting some incorrect information about our
path. I started searching on the internet to bring this to the attention
of our more experienced and knowledgeable witches to get the best way to
handle this. Should I approach this young man and give him some
correct data or what. I feel the Mother Goddess may have led me to your Web
site to gain knowledge on how to handle a situation of this nature. I
again feel it is our responsibility to make sure our community !
understands what we are about and this is what I am getting from the
Mother Goddess and real clear to. I live in Conroe, Texas which is near
Houston, Texas. I did notice at a local bookstore that there were some
books there that are not giving the correct image of who we are. I
looked for the Council of Magical Arts in Houston, Texas and I can't find
their e-mail address. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
And any suggestions would be welcome.

Dear Rachashael,
I'm not sure in what context you were cleaning this house. If you work for a larger business that provides cleaning services, it would not be your place to talk to the family whose home you have been assigned about their personal matters. If you are cleaning this house through a personal service of your own or because you know this family, I suggest you talk to the parents first since they have legal control over the religious upbringing of their son.
If you disagree with the books in your local metaphysical bookstore, you can talk to the manager of the store as well as write the publisher of the books. Let them know that you aren't going to buy those products and why. I suggest that you get active with your local Pagan community in order to correct misinformation if you can't get in touch with Council of Magical Arts.
Light!
Delriece
