We all have to rant about something sometime, right? Well I'll keep this page just for this. Random thought, site history etc.

2/4/02 Lol! Look what is being said about me! [JacketFan: angel? Shy? LOL!] If you knew me in real life, you'd know why that's funny. Outside of JRC, and the Internet in general, I'm actually one of the shyest people I know. Something tells me that's not right... ;)

30/9/01 Ah, I've slipped into a new world, and no this has nothing to do with mushrooms of any kind };) This is the wonderful world of volunteering! Not just any volunteering, but helping out at the Vet's. If you've been to the Meet Me page, you noticed that I want to become a vet later on. You can't imaging the privelage it is to me, most volunteers they take are older, and have so experience. Me being the minimum allowable age, not having *any* experience, and being accepted someplace is truly a miracle. I started out on last Thursday, and well, it wasn't too exciting. We gave a flea-dip to 2-day-old kittens (they're okay, don't worry), but that was the highlight of the day. I came again on Saturday, and wow, it was so much fun compared }:D I met the new technitian, Ebony, she was so nice, it was her first week, so we were both kinda new there. That day I got to help the technitians, actually my tasks were quite similar. The first thing we did was bathe a 15-year-old mutt. Then some clients came for check-ups. I got to help with that too! I got to hold down the dog and cats while they were getting their shots, and while blood was being drawn. The thing is, I never expected to do any of that stuff. I've read about volunteering long ago, (I knew I had to wait until I was at least 14 to even ask). I asked around shelters, and the ASPCA, and such. Most said they take volunteers over 17 years old, and they don't even touch the animals, they just clean after them. Yea, so cleaning is involved, but that's the least of it. You're probably thinking 'What is she, crazy? Helping for free?!'. Think again, I mean, its nice to know you're helping out someone. Its a good deed, whether you're volunteering at the vet's or in the old folk's home nearby. Chances are, someone could really benefit from you helping :)

By the way...all of you future vets out there, if you hadn't gone through vet school yet, and are planning to, its a good idea to volunteer a bit as well. Being as its hard to get into vet school, and many vet schools only take with hands-on experience, there's only logic behind it. Though the Veterinarian himself is wonderful at the clinic I go to (he actually lets me do stuff other than clean cages), and I think that's particularly why I enjoy volunteering in general. If you do plan on being a vet later on, you might want to try out volunteering, just see if this is really *for you*. That's my four cents for the day...

14/9/01 Well what do you think I'll rant about this time? Of course the WTC, what else? As I've mentioned several times now, its one thing to hear about it on the news, its another to live only a bridge away. This however is not a speech of patriotism, rather just a few unorganized comments dealing with the recent happenings. Though I haven't actually been to Manhattan since it happened, I've only pictured what it would be like passing by, and seeing only the short buildings. Actually i've seen it on TV as well, but things look different in real life. Wow, i've never actually been inside those towers, but still, I have walked by a few times, and i can remember, the first time I was there, looking up, the towers seemed endless. Strange, the when it first collapsed, all the ashes and dust flew toward Brooklyn. Now the cloud of dust keeps heading in our direction when its windy. Another thought...they want to rebuild the towers? Why? What for? My opinion is that they should make a memorial block, or few, where the towers used to be, nevermind Century 21, and AmEx. On the other hand, perhaps we'll lose the idea of indestructibility, just because we live in America. Well, towers can be rebuilt, as if nothing ever happened, regardless of my opinion, its just the thousands of innocent people that are injured, missing, dead, that just shouldn't be. Eighteen kamekazes (I don't like the word terrorist), died to bring down the Twin Towers, a section of the Pentagon, and some place is Pennsylvania, and it was an honor for them. Okay, since I'm in a good mood tonight, I can't write much more about a 'tragic' thing, so I'll quit for now.

29/8/01 Well I got back on the 24th, and most of everything as I see it, is as if i didn't leave at all. Online however is a different story, Creations closing? That's not good! Oh well, perhaps I've been gone a bit too long, I forgot my own URL. That hasn't happened to me in a while...Anyway, I updated the C2 adoptions page, and well I spent half an hour looking for the notepad file with the tables. Well I'm not sure what I did there, but something came out. I am realizing now that I have nothing whatsoever to say here. Horrible spelling, horrible, I've not seen a keyboard in two months, still re-adjusting. Can't even blame the typodeamon this time :( Getting back to HTML is even worse, LOL, my hands are shaky around it, nothing new, an unusual, yet familiar feeling. Okay, this isn't making sense anymore, I'll have to stop now. Seriously, I will stop it. Bah, I keep getting distracted by the JRC, with all the molby's and ratios of...I'm not sure what, people to planets, or is it stars? Heh, the JRC can be seemingly evil when I'm half asleep. The other, other, other white meat? I think I'll end it here with a period.

29/6/01 Today is prolly the last day I'll have a chance to write anything here until August 25th. Tomorrow I'll be shopping and packing, and July 1st I'll be on my merry way to Kiev. Wish me luck! Unfortunately I'll have no computer access, meaning no internet access during the summer. That means not only can't I update the site, but I can't be in the JRC as well:( I'll miss this place, but I will be back soon enough ;-) Today is also the 10-day anniversary of my site! Its 10 days old and going better than expected! To celebrate, I'm putting up this here 'Rants' page. Maybe soon I'll put up some actual rants, currently this is just stuff from my memory...

28/6/01 I got MNB to link MC to here. Sharon of the Creature Village says she likes my site :D Hehe, I like her's too...

27/6/01 Rascii linked The Caves to here, Yay! :) Also, as of today, I'm officially in High School, happy, happy, joy, joy!

23/6/01 I think this was when Beth added a question about me (my cat actually) to her CC quiz. Maybe it was a different day, but i say its the 23rd. Anyways, if you haven't yet been there, go now, and answer the question about my cat first. If you know me, you'll know my cat as well. Don't know? Well I'm not telling ya. Heh, if ya really wanna cheat, he's mentioned and photographed on one of these pages...

20/6/01 Yay! Miz of Creations linked to here, and even called Batman! =D

19/6/01I had the crazy idea to dedicate a section of my space to Creatures. Going pretty well so far, trying to keep original =)
