Re: Dorothy --- Not who she seems
A reply by Sachie to the rant/essay by Sailor Zoisite, the Wannabe Shinigami
I totally agree with you interpretation of Dorothy. I think she is the type of person that shows a cynical exterior, but really deep down inside is very sensitive, and feels things deeply. Its also true about her being very much a follower. She's entirely content to follow in the shadows of someone with sufficient ambitions and vision.
I see her penchant for war as a way for her witness greatness. It gives her a thrill to see larger than life hero's battleing it out. Her cynical words and goading to Heero, Relena and Zechs are a way of telling them to 'get off their butts and DO something.' Preferrably something cool that she can watch.
I love that scene with Quatre and Trowa in the LIbra, because it shows her at her best. Stong and yet fragile at the same time.
*sigh* Poor Dorothy. I think she would have had a hard time coming to grips with herself after Trieze died....
Which reminds me I should start working on that post-series 4+D that I started oh so long ago.
